While I was at the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana) documenting the ICTM state math tournament for the Alpha Omega math team, I spent time photographing the beautiful campus while the students were in their various locations competing.
This May day was beautiful since spring had arrived! Also, although I'm not an architecture photographer, old buildings fascinate me and I feel compelled to put camera to eye and capture their character. I thought I'd share some of my favorites from the day with you!
I love spring trees, with their twisty trunks and new green growth of buds, leaves and flowers! No matter the time of day, I'm always up for a spring nature walk!
Indoors, it's much harder to find interesting subjects to shoot. However, the old architecture at U of I provides some amazing discoveries! Below, I found myself looking straight up at an old chandelier in the student union. Up went my camera for an abstract shot!
Say something scholarly!
