There was no other way to start a new year in Chicagoland than this one—a nature walk at the tail end of a new snowfall. Little did I know we’d have another snowfall, and another, and another! But this one was perfect—not terribly breezy, still a little snowy, mostly fresh.
My honey and I had a lovely afternoon date at this park—Knoch Knolls Park in Naperville, which, you may recall, has been featured in other photoblog posts. It’s such a convenient park to visit, and the nature and scenic beauty is right in front of my eyes just after getting out of my car.
There’s something beautiful about each season, and scenes like these are just one of winter’s beauties that I appreciate. Several of these images have made it into my print art galleries, so be sure to check those out as well! Enjoy my winter’s walk with me, and all the beauty the Lord created just for us to enjoy!
Just when I thought our walk was over, and we were about to cross the little footbridge heading back to the parking lot, our car, and home, I spied the below unspoiled scene. I crouched down as low as I could, on the bridge and peeking between the wood railings, to capture winter’s snow-capped stones in the brook leading to the river. Perfect!
